What rewards are really worth

Cashback returns a share of your net losses, so it only pays when you lose. Loyalty points are earned on everything you stake, but they’re usually worth very little: one point per £10 with 100 points per £1 gives back just 0.1% of your stakes. Compare that with the average cost of playing, which is your stakes times the house edge.

In Great Britain, VIP schemes are only for customers aged 25 or over, and casinos must check that rewards are affordable.

Questions

Is cash cashback better than bonus cashback?

Yes. Cash can be withdrawn straight away. Bonus cashback has wagering, which costs a little more on average to clear.

Should I play more to earn more rewards?

No. Rewards are always worth far less than the extra play costs on average. Treat them as a small extra, not a reason to play.
