How free spins are valued

Each free spin is a bet paid for by the casino. On average a spin returns its value times the slot’s RTP, so 50 spins at 10p on a 96% slot return about £4.80. If the winnings have wagering, playing them through costs a little more on average, and a win cap limits what you can keep.

Wager-free spins are the simplest: whatever you win is paid as cash.

Questions

Why is my value lower than the spin value?

Because no slot pays back 100%. The RTP tells you the average share of stakes returned, so 10p spins on a 96% slot are worth about 9.6p each.

Do win caps matter on small offers?

Usually not much on average, but they stop you keeping a rare big win, which is part of the appeal of free spins.
